When my dad saw this saw, he called it the “Barbie saw”. It isn’t a heavy duty saw, but for light work it does a real good job. It is quiet, and easy to use. It is real good for making accurate cuts in thin material–I find that it is easier to follow a line with this saw than with may larger Makita 7 1/4″ circular saw. I only have one battery, but it lasts a long time and charges in one hour.

This is an excellent handheld saw. Small and light makes it easy to use and allows you to make accurate staright cut. By replacing to the Carbine tip blade, it cuts even better and easier. Blades are sometimes hard to find and often pricer than regular size blades due to supply and demand. Makita battery is very reliable and switchable with other cordless equipment justifys having more than one battery.
